A Spanish restaurant in Uptown New Orleans, Costera’s essence is rooted in the culinary traditions from Spain’s unique territories. Researching Basque storytelling traditions; tall tales, bedtime stories and surrounding mythology, I assimilated the ideas into a paneled storyline. With reference to historical patterns, colors and imagery associations, the pieces honor the Basque spirit of storytelling.
